After 5 played minutes La Gringoneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Paskal. In the 7th minute, Daniel Peli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Fabian Gutxi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Cornelio Selatse charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Selatse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblo FC's zone, Denis Berriotxoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Rosario came out of the goal and Denis Berriotxoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Berriotxoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Berriotxoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ramon Rosario made a huge save. Abel Phelipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Rosario made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Denis Berriotxoa sent off a good shot on target. Guillermo Vidal struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Leonel Loramendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pueblo FC. Denis Berriotxoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Rosario having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Edgardo Tuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Loramendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Peli in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, La Gringoneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Vidal came free, but Leonel Loramendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Guillermo Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pueblo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Pueblo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Berriotxoa to strike the kick off in the second half. When Aldo Ugutz fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gringoneta FC's protests and gave Aldo Ugutz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Aldo Ugutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Peli struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Leonel Loramendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pueblo FC. In the 73rd minute Denis Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes, Ernesto Sugoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pueblo FC and the La Gringoneta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Pueblo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Gringoneta FC:s goal. Daniel Peli struck a weak shot in the 79th minute.
