Octavio Maureo made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Ceferino Gonsalvo sent off a good shot on target. Israel Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Heriberto having to interfere. The supporters of Ricardo Fort booed when Arrutó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Efrain Banegas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixto Heriberto. Arrutó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Banegas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 26 minutes, Efrain Banegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ricardo Fort and the Arrutó players grew even worse after the yellow card. Efrain Banegas kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Ricardo Fort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Cuarto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavio Maureo. Ricardo Fort's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Joel Monte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ricardo Fort's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrutó the free kick. The long shot by Blas Arixo in the 29th minute really tested Octavio Maureo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The attack was good, but when Ambrosio Leheren in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 35thth minute of the game Ambrosio Leheren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ricardo Fort's Octavio Maureo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Ricardo Fort's Octavio Maureo got control of the ball when Maximo Bartuelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Israel Lazcano took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixto Heriberto. Sixto Heriberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Banegas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Gonsalvo in the 51st minute of play forced Ricardo Fort's goalkeeper Octavio Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Gonsalvo in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Ricardo Fort's Efrain Banegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sixto Heriberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ambrosio Leheren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrutó's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Leheren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Maureo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd match minute, Arrutó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Cuarto to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Arnau hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes, Arrutó's Ambrosio Leheren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Octavio Maureo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arrutó reached it. Chants of Ricardo Fort echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Arrutó had held the ball for most of the match.
