Cayastacito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Peio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godfredo Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Gorbea having to interfere. Domingo Txeru kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Alvaro Peio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Delmiro Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Godfredo Jaunzuria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A collision led to Comandante Andresito getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tomás Isadore hit a great ball. The supporters of Cayastacito booed when Comandante Andresito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Mergildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delmiro Gorbea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Jaunzuria in the 45th minute. Celestino Gaitan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Celestino Gaitan made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute of the match, Celestino Gaitan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eloy Koldobika saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Jaunzuria in the 58th minute of play forced Comandante Andresito's goalkeeper Delmiro Gorbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Peio took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmiro Gorbea. Delmiro Gorbea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Celestino Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Sotero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eloy Koldobika having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Godfredo Jaunzuria notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Comandante Andresito's Delmiro Gorbea. Delmiro Gorbea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Chorche hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match Severiano Palban shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmiro Gorbea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Godfredo Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Gorbea having to interfere. When Benedicto Ereinotz fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Comandante Andresito's protests and gave Benedicto Ereinotz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Benedicto Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Peio in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmiro Gorbea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Godfredo Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cayastacito's zone, Celestino Gaitan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Koldobika came out of the goal and Celestino Gaitan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 98 minutes into the match, Cayastacito's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Sotero came free, but Eloy Koldobika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cayastacito's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
