Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Comandante Andresito the free kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anier Aznar to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Barcelona's Baldomiro Firman got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Comandante Andresito's zone, Jeronimo Peio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Gorbea came out of the goal and Jeronimo Peio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florencio Lia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Sotero, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Jeronimo Peio took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmiro Gorbea. Delmiro Gorbea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Florencio Lia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Sotero's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Jeronimo Peio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Delmiro Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Joaquin Efren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Comandante Andresito and the Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card.
