Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cristobal Dacio made the kick off which started today's match. Leonides Ciceron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Roque Valerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Txartiko kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Merlo's zone, Ramiro Raymond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Valerio came out of the goal and Ramiro Raymond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Valerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Chago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Chago in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Valerio saved Deportivo Merlo from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Gualeguay FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Darien had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Orlan. Agustin Egun charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Egun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Agustin Egun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Roque Valerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romulo Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Darien was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudio Orlan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 48 minute of play.

The wind increased when Leonel Roland made the kick off in the second half. Leonides Ciceron struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Roque Valerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gualeguay FC. Leonel Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gualeguay FC's Gustavo Darien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Dacio in the 64th minute of play. Roque Valerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Ciceron in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes in the game, Damian Chago fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roque Valerio having to interfere. Roque Valerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Ciceron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Roland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Gualeguay FC's Leonel Roland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Roque Valerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Leonides Ciceron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Valerio. Deportivo Merlo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Ciceron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gualeguay FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
