Holmberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giuseppe Garibaldi the free kick. With a little luck, Holmberg's Elpidio Cidro got control of the ball when Faustino Sidoro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elpidio Cidro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Faustino Sidoro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Ezequiel Izotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Holmberg's Martin Bazil got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Faustino Sidoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elpidio Cidro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Samuel Lugo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Faustino Sidoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Cidro having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Arnaldo Ishmael reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elpidio Cidro. The goal made the score 3-0. After 35 minutes of play, Giuseppe Garibaldi's Eloy Belo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Cidro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Prospero Ubelteso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Intxixu in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Giuseppe Garibaldi's zone, Leo Clementi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Ubelteso came out of the goal and Leo Clementi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leo Clementi came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Holmberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Clementi couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Leo Clementi made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Holmberg's Ezequiel Izotz got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Godfredo Esquipula left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giuseppe Garibaldi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Martin Bazil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Bazil took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Ubelteso. Prospero Ubelteso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 74th minute, Israel Intxixu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elpidio Cidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Barros in the 80th minute of the match. Leo Clementis short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Prospero Ubelteso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Esquipula in the 91st minute of play forced Holmberg's goalkeeper Elpidio Cidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Holmberg's Israel Intxixu got a free kick in the 94th minute. Elpidio Cidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Ishmael in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Giuseppe Garibaldi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Holmberg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
