Zeledon Manny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute, Zeledon Manny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calmayo FC were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Gessler FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baltasar Maria took the corner. The corner led Calmayo FC's Baltasar Maria to fire away a dangerous shot which Efrain Munio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Constantino Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gessler FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Bastiaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Criston got free with Tomás Indalecio in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victorino Criston took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Indalecio. Tomás Indalecio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Abel Indartsu came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Calmayo FC fans jumped to their feet. The wind increased when Abel Indartsu made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Calmayo FC booed when Gessler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Delfino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Gessler FC's Efrain Munio got control of the ball when Zeledon Manny tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Saverio Orain fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gessler FC's protests and gave Saverio Orain a yellow card for diving instead. Saverio Orain kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Bastiaro in the 60th minute of play forced Calmayo FC's goalkeeper Tomás Indalecio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 62 in the game by Zeledon Manny from a close distance when the talented Efrain Munio managed to make a qualified save. Gessler FC's players were relieved. Efrain Munio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Indartsu in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Indartsu in the 70th minute of play forced Gessler FC's goalkeeper Efrain Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Manny might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Munio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Manny ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Calmayo FC's zone, Victorino Criston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Indalecio came out of the goal and Victorino Criston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the game, Gessler FC's Constantino Bastiaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Indalecio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Delfino during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Gessler FC's Efrain Munio got control of the ball when Zeledon Manny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Efrain Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calmayo FC. Gessler FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
