After having played for 14 minutes, Marciano Frichoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Euscadi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Frichoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Primitivo Gilabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Godoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Felipe Chorche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Godoy having to interfere. Eugenio Leizarraga hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the JuanRomanRiquelme defense, Marciano Frichoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Godoy. The JuanRomanRiquelme fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Godoy should have stopped the shot. Marciano Frichoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Marciano Frichoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Euscadi AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Frichoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iker Godoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Chorche, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Iker Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Frichoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Braulio Salvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulino Obano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Marciano Frichoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Godoy having to make a save. Roque Abreu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Iker Godoy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Iker Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Chorche in the 83rd minute of play. Felipe Chorche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Marciano Frichoso could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Iker Godoy however easily saved by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Marciano Frichoso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
