Teodoro Cugat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Jago came free, but Teodoro Cugat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleto Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sharma Manteca in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Zeledon Jago notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's Teodoro Cugat. Teodoro Cugat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Zeledon Jago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Donato Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Jago in the 31st minute of play forced CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's goalkeeper Teodoro Cugat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The RODELFI F.C fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when RODELFI F.C's Zeledon Jago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Honorio Perpinya came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Perpinya couldn't finish the play. The CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RODELFI F.C were winning 0-2.

Carmelo Lamberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Cugat having to interfere. Cleto Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Cordeiro in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, RODELFI F.C's Zeledon Jago got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 63rd match minute, CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Xabier's late challenge caught a CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Xabier helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes RODELFI F.C got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Xabier. A nice corner shot did that Donato Cordeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cleto Timo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 70th minute, Sharma Manteca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Cugat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Jago, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Sharma Manteca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's Sharma Manteca got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 minutes, Rodolfo Chepe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RODELFI F.C and the CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Rodolfo Chepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Lamberto got free with Teodoro Cugat in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
