The audience was convinced that Geronimo Tabby's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Galtero was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5th minute, Denis Mingo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomero Roldan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Lules's Flavio Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Gar in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, AMÉRICA SUR's Geronimo Tabby nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Galtero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 15 minutes of play, AMÉRICA SUR's Hilario Gar made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Galtero was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Lules booed when AMÉRICA SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Tabby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomero Roldan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Mingo in the 23rd minute. Lules's Flavio Galtero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Lules from getting a goal against them. Jacobo Urre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Roldan having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
