The referee ignored Club Atlético Maradona's protests and gave Jose Muc a yellow card for diving instead. Jose Muc kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Norberto Montel might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfredo Acevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Montel ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Benito Azevedo in the 15th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Muc couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Maradona's Rolando Carlomagno got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
