Tomas Bermudo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Prudencio Ourente. Corpus FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Agustin Nabar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prudencio Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Ortzi in the 6th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Agustin Nabar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rigoberto Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Lluc having to interfere. Agustin Nabar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godfredo Guillelmus kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Maximino Hanni hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Tomas Bermudo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Vela came free, but Fausto Lluc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 30th minute of the match Godfredo Guillelmus completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Godfredo Guillelmus a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 33rd match minute, Corpus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Tabor to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Agustin Nabar took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Prudencio Ourente to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute, Agustin Nabar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Prudencio Ourente, passed just outside the right post. Fausto Lluc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Lawrence in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Lawrence came free, but Fausto Lluc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rigoberto Lawrence made the kick off in the second half. Agustin Nabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Ourente having to interfere. Agustin Nabar struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Prudencio Ourente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. 63 minutes into the game, Alfonso Abella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douglas Haig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corpus FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Alfonso Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Lawrence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Agustin Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Douglas Haig's Agustin Ortzi in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corpus FC's goalie prevented a goal. Agustin Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Prudencio Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Agustin Nabar came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Nabar couldn't finish the play. Gualterio Vela's late challenge caught a Douglas Haig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualterio Vela helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Alfonso Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prudencio Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Nabar in the 95th minute of play. Douglas Haig's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
