Aurelio Fortun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Xabier having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celedonio Lluis during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Celedonio Lluis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Aurelio Fortun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mazzeteam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Fortun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Mazzeteam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Lluis to maneuver through the defense. When Aurelio Fortun came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Mazzeteam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Fortun couldn't finish the play. Alberto Txaran hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pasteur's zone, Nicasio Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Xabier came out of the goal and Nicasio Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicasio Richie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicasio Richie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Marcelo Xabier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pasteur players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mazzeteam were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Fortun was the one to do the kick off.
