Matias Esquipula started the match with the kick off. If Lucio Ieltxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Goi got free with Emiliano Lordi in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 17 minutes, Pastor Goi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pucará FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Goi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everardo Frantzes kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Esquipula in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Lordi saved Viejas & Virgenes FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Pucará FC's zone, Antonio Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Urki came out of the goal and Antonio Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute of the match, Matias Esquipula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emiliano Lordi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Pucará FC booed when Viejas & Virgenes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Milian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Viejas & Virgenes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Esquipula came free, but Emiliano Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Urki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Marin in the 41st minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Ieltxu to make the kick off. Felipe Urki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Ieltxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viejas & Virgenes FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benedicto Vellito in the 57th minute. A nice corner shot did that Benedicto Vellito got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Felipe Urki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Matias Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Pastor Goi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Lordi was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 65th match minute, Viejas & Virgenes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Frantzes to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Esquipula in the 67th minute of the match. Antonio Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Marin's late challenge caught a Pucará FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Marin helped the player get up and apologised. Antonio Marin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pastor Goi in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Lordi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Viejas & Virgenes FC defense, Pastor Goi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Lordi. The Viejas & Virgenes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Lordi should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Pucará FC's Felipe Urki got control of the ball when Antonio Marin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viejas & Virgenes FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
