The audience was convinced that Amador Isauro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Jenaro was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Bella Vista's Roque Caitano got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bella Vista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Eufemio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Caitano was the one to do the kick off. If Atilano Eufemio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Roque Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amador Isauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 74 played minutes, Bella Vista's Bruno Gomesano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gervasio Oihenarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bella Vista reached it.
