Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliberto Gai in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Hondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pericotes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alonzo Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Alonzo Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pericotes AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Pericotes AFC were furious when Florentino Primeiro was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 96 minutes into the game, one of Pericotes AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New Zanzibar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pericotes AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
