In the 10th minute, Roberto Fidensio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute Roque Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Nesor hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A hard shot 25 in the game by Roberto Fidensio from a close distance when the talented Ramon Jenaro managed to make a qualified save. Bella Vista's players were relieved. Bella Vista's Ramon Jenaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Charro in the 28th minute of play. Bella Vista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Caitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 minutes of play, Bella Vista's Roque Caitano made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Caitano in the 39th minute of play forced Matancilla AFC's goalkeeper Teofilo Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Eufemio in the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Bella Vista's Atilano Eufemio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofilo Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Caitano to make the kick off. Bella Vista's supporters rose to their feet, but Roque Caitano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atilano Eufemio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. If Atilano Eufemio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Jenaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Charro went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Daniel Charro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ramon Jenaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atilano Eufemio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Cruz having to interfere. If Gilberto Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Matancilla AFC booed when Bella Vista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Acosta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Matancilla AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bella Vista's performance. The match ended with a win for Bella Vista.
