But to his dismay, Celedonio Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Enrique Gutierrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcelino Lesardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dionisio Raulo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee ignored Lukfe's protests and gave Damian Bernebe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Damian Bernebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A wasted opportunity for Atlético Agronomía. Arnaldo Vachons short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Baltasar Cordearo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 67 minutes into the match, Atlético Agronomía's German Gurutz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltasar Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Lukfe defense, Arnaldo Vachon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltasar Cordearo. The Lukfe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltasar Cordearo should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Arnaldo Vachon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Agronomía's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Vachon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the game, Lukfe's Damian Bernebe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelino Lesardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 84 played minutes Atlético Agronomía got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Bilintx.
