Amadeo Lamberto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute Virgilio Arlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Lesardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelino Lesardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Pio in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Villa Podestá getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ubaldo Pio hit a great ball. After 12 minutes of play, Atlético Agronomía's Arnaldo Vachon made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Lamberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19thth minute of the game Virgilio Arlo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Agronomía's Marcelino Lesardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pastor Argider took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelino Lesardo. Atlético Agronomía's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Virgilio Arlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jonas Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Virgilio Arlo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Agronomía's Marcelino Lesardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelino Lesardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Arlo's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Marcelino Lesardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Llanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Virgilio Arlo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Marcelino Lesardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Podestá. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Virgilio Arlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guillermo Salamon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Agronomía's zone, Virgilio Arlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Lesardo came out of the goal and Virgilio Arlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Virgilio Arlo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcelino Lesardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonas Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Lesardo having to interfere. Marcelino Lesardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Pio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 played minutes Atlético Agronomía got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Leguizamón. Virgilio Arlo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 78th playminute. Ubaldo Pio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Lesardo having to interfere. Marcelino Lesardo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Podestá's Virgilio Arlo. But to his dismay, Virgilio Arlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Atlético Agronomía's Marcelino Lesardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Arlo in the 93rd minute of play. Ruperto Llanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Lesardo having to interfere. When the match was over Villa Podestá could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Agronomía throughout the match.
