Mariano Xacintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tobias Fernado might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonardo Lizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tobias Fernado ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the game, Florencio Bernaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonardo Lizar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute Tobias Fernado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Lizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Walme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Antonio Enetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lorenzo Walme fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brokenlee FC's protests and gave Lorenzo Walme a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brokenlee FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Lorenzo Walme hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Froilan Abascal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brokenlee FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Claypole AFC the free kick. The supporters of Claypole AFC booed when Brokenlee FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Gerardo Petrigai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Lizar skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Tobias Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claypole AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Froilan Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Leonardo Lizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Petrigai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Florencio Bernaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claypole AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Bernaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Lizar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Brokenlee FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Bernaldo came free, but Leonardo Lizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Gogo Fidele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brokenlee FC's Lorenzo Walme got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Xacintu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Fernado was the one to do the kick off. Leonardo Lizar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Bernaldo went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Leonardo Lizar made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Florencio Bernaldo sent off a good shot on target. Lorenzo Walme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Antonio Enetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeo Breogan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Xacintu in the 63rd minute of play forced Claypole AFC's goalkeeper Antonio Enetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mariano Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florencio Bernaldo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Leonardo Lizar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ulises Montrelle hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Antonio Enetz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brokenlee FC's Leonardo Lizar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Brokenlee FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Brokenlee FC booed when Claypole AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mariano Xacintu came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Brokenlee FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Xacintu couldn't finish the play. If Florencio Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florencio Bernaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Leonardo Lizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Claypole AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
