Guasayán
Spectators: 7344 (Terracing: 5510, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gualterio Muno started the match with the kick off. Guasayán's Ismael Baraquiel got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Guasayán's Placido Quintin got a free kick in the 11th minute. Bengt-Åke Lagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Dolfo in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Placido Quintin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guasayán's Anselmo Formerio got a free kick in the 15th minute. Guasayán's Bengt-Åke Lagerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Muno in the 19th minute of play. Jacinto Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bengt-Åke Lagerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Guasayán's Nertil Nesta got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ricardo Atarrabi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ismael Baraquiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Baraquiel got free with Rene Frichoso in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Placido Quintin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rene Frichoso. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Placido Quintin in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Frichoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guasayán's Ismael Baraquiel got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 45 in the game by Placido Quintin from a close distance when the talented Rene Frichoso managed to make a qualified save. Huevonaso S.C.'s players were relieved. Rene Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Quintin in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Placido Quintin to make the kick off. Ismael Baraquiel struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rene Frichoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guasayán. After a defensive mix-up in Huevonaso S.C.'s zone, Placido Quintin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Frichoso came out of the goal and Placido Quintin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Huevonaso S.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fausto Theodore hit a great ball. Hugo Montez, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ismael Baraquiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Theodore charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Theodore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Placido Quintin came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Guasayán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Quintin couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, one of Huevonaso S.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Huevonaso S.C.. The referee gave Guasayán a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Montez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Huevonaso S.C.'s Rene Frichoso. 2-0. In the 71stth minute of the game Ismael Baraquiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huevonaso S.C.'s Rene Frichoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Huevonaso S.C.'s zone, Anselmo Formerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Frichoso came out of the goal and Anselmo Formerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Quintin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Huevonaso S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Placido Quintin came free, but Rene Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Jacinto Dolfo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Huevonaso S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 87 minutes into the match, Huevonaso S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Baraquiel came free, but Rene Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Frichoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Placido Quintin went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Quintin in the 95th minute of play forced Huevonaso S.C.'s goalkeeper Rene Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evelio Claris during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Huevonaso S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Claris to maneuver through the defense. If Placido Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Guasayán were the better team. Guasayán's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
