The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gorostiaga's Robustiano Lizardi in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Phoenix Suns's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gorostiaga's Robustiano Lizardi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lino Fe. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Lino Fe made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Jeronimo Normando sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Suns's Nereo Sidoro got a free kick in the 21st minute. Robustiano Lizardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Lino Fe made a huge save. Jeronimo Normando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lino Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Normando struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Lino Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorostiaga. Lino Fe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Lizardi in the 33rd minute of the match. Angelino Donostia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Fe having to interfere. If Angelino Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was joyful for the audience to see Haroldo Cordero dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 43rd played minute and put the ball into the net. 2-0. Lino Fe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Cordero in the 47th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeronimo Normando made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jeronimo Normando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Suns's Victor Rosalio got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Victor Pacho came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Gorostiaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Pacho couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Angelino Donostia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gorostiaga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jeronimo Normando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorostiaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Normando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Fe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Fe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelino Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Angelino Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gorostiaga's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
