Ramon Eriz took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santo Ilazki. Teobaldo Ezkerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Illan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Narciso Valentine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santo Ilazki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. After the first half Calabacilla FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicklas Qvalfeldt to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Venceslas got free with Santo Ilazki in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Arias's late challenge caught a Calabacilla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
