To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jacinto Lleir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Tiburcio Ubendu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, ZafaR's Jacinto Lleir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiburcio Ubendu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Silverio Rio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiburcio Ubendu was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. When Silverio Rio came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ZafaR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Rio couldn't finish the play. Although ZafaR had been in control for most of the match, Junín still came away with the win.
