The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 14 minutes into the match, Iker Osoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteve Hitzeder. Ariel F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iker Osoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 20th minute, Jeremias Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Matteo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteve Hitzeder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esteve Hitzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Matteo in the 28th minute of play. Ariel F.C's Esteve Hitzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Matteo in the 31st minute of play. Rigoberto Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Hitzeder having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Matteo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Hitzeder saved Ariel F.C from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Placido Arlo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ariel F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Arlo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gogo Lop breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ariel F.C's Placido Ramirez got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Nequen's goalkeeper Gogo Lop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Placido Ramirez. Placido Arlo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Gogo Lop when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Matteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Leon Matthew was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ariel F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nequen the free kick. After 53 played minutes Ariel F.C got a freekick which was hit by Leon Matthew. In the 55th minute Rigoberto Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Hitzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Rigoberto Matteo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Matteo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esteve Hitzeder, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Matteo in the 64th minute of play forced Ariel F.C's goalkeeper Esteve Hitzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Arlo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gogo Lop having to make a save. When Ariel F.C's Placido Ramirez in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nequen's goalie prevented a goal. 83 minutes into the game, Danilo Mendebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nequen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ariel F.C the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nequen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Nequen's Gogo Lop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Ramirez in the 93rd minute of play. Nequen's Silverio Lohitzun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 98th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Esteve Hitzeder but with some difficulty. The Nequen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nequen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
