An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Totakoxe in the 11th minute of play forced Pavón's goalkeeper Dario Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MDQPEÑAROL's Celestino Piearres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Mingo in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to MDQPEÑAROL getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Antonio Mercurio hit a great ball. Rodrigo Totakoxe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Odon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Dario Odon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Totakoxe's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Victorino Errolan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pavón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ramon Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Dario Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavón's Dario Odon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Totakoxe in the 36th minute of play. In the 46th minute Rodrigo Totakoxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Totakoxe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristo Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Opilano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Odon having to interfere. The supporters of MDQPEÑAROL booed when Pavón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Totakoxe in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Odon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristo Nafarroa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celestino Piearres having to make a save. The referee ignored MDQPEÑAROL's protests and gave Anselmo Admon a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Pavón a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Etor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MDQPEÑAROL's Celestino Piearres. 3-0. Celestino Piearres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Mingo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 85 minutes into the match, MDQPEÑAROL's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Mingo came free, but Celestino Piearres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Totakoxe in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Totakoxe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Odon was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. MDQPEÑAROL's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Pavón had won, even though MDQPEÑAROL had held more of the ball.
