But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Ted couldn't finish the play. Benjamin Frances sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Tomás Ted managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors M.E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Ted was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urbano Olivar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leandro Donostia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Mattin in the 29th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee ignored Boca Juniors M.E.C's protests and gave Cirilo Cordarrell a yellow card for diving instead. If Tomás Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. In the 66th match minute, Deportivo Querandies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Chuse to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Benjamin Frances notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Deportivo Querandies's Urbano Olivar. Urbano Olivar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damaso Mattin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. The supporters of Boca Juniors M.E.C booed when Deportivo Querandies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Montrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomás Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Querandies players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Boca Juniors M.E.C.
