Estudiantes de Hernando's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustin Argoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elvio Abascal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Estrellas de Italia FC's Agustin Argoitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elvio Abascal. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estrellas de Italia FC's zone, Jonathan Udalaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Abaurre came out of the goal and Jonathan Udalaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvio Abascal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Ralondo in the 25th minute of play. Damian Harri's late challenge caught a Estrellas de Italia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Harri helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Estrellas de Italia FC booed when Estudiantes de Hernando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Harri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvio Abascal was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Facundo Tavori capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. In the 66th minute, Agustin Argoitz made a precise shot to the right of Elvio Abascal. Estudiantes de Hernando's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Elvio Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Estudiantes de Hernando's Octavio Aznaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
