When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atilano Mateo made a kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Antonio Quintyn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matará's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lyon FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Matará:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lyon FC:s goal. Amado Arnalt's late challenge caught a Matará's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amado Arnalt helped the player get up and apologised. Amado Arnalt hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Amado Arnalt took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Etxepare. Sergio Etxepare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After having played for 97 minutes, Silvestre Guerrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Guerrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lyon FC fully deserved thier win.
