With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Iruinea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Jorge Vigil put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Conrado Iruinea. Erubiel Derwin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Vicente Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 24 in the game by Gervasio Quirce from a close distance when the talented Hermengildo Guillen managed to make a qualified save. More Than Words's players were relieved. More Than Words's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Gervasio Quirce scored to the left of an out of position Hermengildo Guillen, making the score, 1-1. Edgard Gotzon charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Gotzon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgard Gotzon hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Gervasio Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind More Than Words's goalkeeper Hermengildo Guillen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Vigil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Conrado Iruinea made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervasio Quirce in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Guillen saved More Than Words from getting behind. More Than Words's Hermengildo Guillen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Eron in the 61st minute of play. Edgard Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervasio Quirce struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Hermengildo Guillen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NINFOMANAS FC. Hermengildo Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Gervasio Quirce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Guillen. Hermengildo Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
