In the 19th minute, Cesar Beliran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Libertad's late challenge caught a Cotte Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Libertad helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marea Roja getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Flavio Libertad hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Cesar Beliran notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Marea Roja's Julio Theobald. Julio Theobald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Sandalio's late challenge caught a Cotte Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Sandalio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Marea Roja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Sandalio to maneuver through the defense. Carmelo Frascuelo charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Frascuelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carmelo Frascuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With his leg Luis Ted managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Marea Roja's Erubiel Dorio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Marea Roja's Ismael Lesardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luis Ted. That made the score 1-1 after 37 minutes of play. Flavio Libertad kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Cesar Beliran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute Guillermo Osmundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Theobald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Erubiel Dorio made the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erubiel Dorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Luis Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute of the match, Guillermo Osmundo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Theobald saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 67th minute, one of Cotte Football Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cotte Football Club. In the 73rd minute, Erubiel Dorio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 played minutes Marea Roja got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Dalmau. Cesar Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Julio Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rodolfo Dalmau fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marea Roja's protests and gave Rodolfo Dalmau a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marea Roja!
