Vicente Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Transito in the 13th minute of play forced Montoneros's goalkeeper Timoteo Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tolojna AFC's Leopoldo Transito in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tolojna AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Transito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Muc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ezequiel Dantel came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Tolojna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Dantel couldn't finish the play. Timoteo Muc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Transito in the 32nd minute of play. When Lucio Endira fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montoneros's protests and gave Lucio Endira a yellow card for diving instead. Lucio Endira kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Lino Gaizkine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafin Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Leheren in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Transito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Timoteo Muc, 2-1. Timoteo Muc made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Teodosio Baudelio sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Barea made a kick off. Montoneros's Timoteo Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Transito in the 52nd minute of play. Leonardo Uxio's late challenge caught a Tolojna AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timoteo Muc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Montoneros's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Transito came free, but Timoteo Muc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Leopoldo Transito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jairo Frisco during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tolojna AFC's Ezequiel Dantel got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicanor Orlanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes in the game Venancio Gilabert after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Serafin Hernandez. A very good opportunity. Montoneros's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
