Melchor Bernal's late challenge caught a Pituil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Bernal helped the player get up and apologised. Eriberto Lauaxeta took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Senen. Raul Senen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Silvano Garci received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ermegildo Chan came out and tried to block the shot, but Silvano Garci slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Pituil defense, Saul Carlomagno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Chan. The Pituil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Chan should have stopped the shot. Pituil's Ermegildo Chan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Pituil from getting a goal against them. Edgard Bernard hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Cecilio Frisco hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Saul Carlomagno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Garci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ermegildo Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Carlomagno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Lauaxeta in the 39th minute of play forced Las Pastillas del Abuelo's goalkeeper Raul Senen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Carlomagno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ermegildo Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Chan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Frichoso in the 43rd minute of the match. Silvano Garci might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermegildo Chan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Garci ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 48 minutes, Cecilio Frisco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pituil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Frisco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Eriberto Lauaxeta made the kick off in the second half. If Eriberto Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Cecilio Frisco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Las Pastillas del Abuelo's Eusebio Clis got a free kick in the 66th minute. Ermegildo Chan came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Las Pastillas del Abuelo's Saul Carlomagno. But to his dismay, Saul Carlomagno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Ermegildo Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Garci, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Pituil's Eriberto Lauaxeta got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Frisco got free with Raul Senen in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cecilio Frisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Senen having to interfere. In the 97th minute Saul Carlomagno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
