In the 16th minute Dalmacio Montxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Julio Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Moise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Gotzon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmacio Montxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emilio Gotzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Montxo in the 27th minute of play forced Arrecifes AFC's goalkeeper Emilio Gotzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Julio Moise notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Arrecifes AFC's Emilio Gotzon. Emilio Gotzon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute Julio Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes AFC's zone, Dalmacio Montxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Gotzon came out of the goal and Dalmacio Montxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Amaya took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emilio Gotzon. Arrecifes AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Enmanuel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emilio Gotzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Moise in the 52nd minute of the match. Emilio Gotzon made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Julio Moise sent off a good shot on target. When Gerardo Enmanuel came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Arrecifes AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Enmanuel couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Fortun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Quintan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Amaya charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Amaya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Amaya. Froilan Mitxaut's late challenge caught a Potrero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Froilan Mitxaut helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Arrecifes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Mitxaut. Potrero's Dalmacio Montxo managed to work through Arrecifes AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dalmacio Montxo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Julio Moise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Emilio Gotzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Potrero's Dalmacio Montxo in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arrecifes AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Arrecifes AFC's goalkeeper Emilio Gotzon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Moise. Emilio Gotzon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potrero. Adolfo Nafarroa lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arrecifes AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! If Julio Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Gotzon having to interfere.
