The audience was convinced that Dalmacio Montxo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Arias was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Abelardo Amaya put in a rough tackle. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Felix Aurken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Super Power's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Aurken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Fortun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aquiles Montxo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Dabi. Fausto Ferrando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ezequiel Fortun. Potrero's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Felix Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonel Fidencio charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Fidencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonel Fidencio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Super Power's Ermegildo Marz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ezequiel Fortun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ezequiel Fortun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Marz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 76th minute Dalmacio Montxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmacio Montxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Arias having to interfere. Dalmacio Montxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalmacio Montxo ran back to his position shaking his head. Alejo Dabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Arias having to interfere. Edgardo Arias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dalmacio Montxo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 89 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejo Dabi got free with Edgardo Arias in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Potrero's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
