Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Catan City's Alejandro Micael got a free kick in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Calvino came free, but Melchor Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Catan City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Gutierrez to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Catan City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cosme Valiente came out of the goal and Marcelo Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
