In the 5th minute Sebastian Modestio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Salvator's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Paulo Bernaldo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 8th minute, Nunez Frutos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Teodosio Claude managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdés's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodosio Claude was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sola's Paulo Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Etxeberri in the 19th minute of play. If Cornelio Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Sol in the 30th minute of play forced Valdés's goalkeeper Hermengildo Tartalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Salvator's late challenge caught a Sola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Salvator helped the player get up and apologised. 32 minutes into the game, Melquiades Isias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valdés the free kick. The supporters of Valdés booed when Sola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Isias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Domingos Salvator sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes of play, Sola's Cornelio Sol made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermengildo Tartalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cornelio Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Sola's goalkeeper Paulo Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Senen. Paulo Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Modestio in the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of Valdés booed when Sola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Venceslao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Modestio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Bernaldo having to interfere. After the first half Sola were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornelio Sol made a kick off. Americo Etxeberri's late challenge caught a Sola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Etxeberri helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Valdés getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Americo Etxeberri hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Senen in the 59th minute of play forced Sola's goalkeeper Paulo Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Etxeberri in the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Clemente Gartxot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valdés the free kick. The supporters of Valdés booed when Sola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Gartxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Bernaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingos Salvator went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Paulo Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Modestio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Sola's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Salvator came free, but Paulo Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Etxeberri in the 70th minute of play. Domingos Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Paulo Bernaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-1 came in the 82nd minute when Tomás Senen all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Paulo Bernaldo. Hermengildo Tartalo was a little too slow when Severiano Venceslao got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-2. After some careless play in the Sola defense, Domingos Salvator kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Bernaldo. The Sola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. Valdés's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
