An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Ubelteso in the 45th minute of play forced Zanjón's goalkeeper Segundo Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Caballito's goalkeeper Florentino Oliviero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florentino Oliviero came out of the goal and Domingos Ibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Oliviero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Seber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Justino Seber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Zanjón booed when Club Deportivo Caballito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Azubeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Fliz, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Caballito's zone, Justino Seber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Oliviero came out of the goal and Justino Seber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Geronimo Chano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zanjón's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Chano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Oliviero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florentino Oliviero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Seber in the 89th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zanjón had played much better football throughout.
