Norberto Ubelteso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ulises Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Norberto Ubelteso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo Caballito and the Concepción AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Matthew to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Concepción AFC's Saul Ermengol got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Club Deportivo Caballito's Cirilo Rico got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulises Vimaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Ubelteso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cirilo Rico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Ubelteso in the 61st minute of play forced Concepción AFC's goalkeeper Ulises Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Deportivo Caballito booed when Concepción AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Lucila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Oliviero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Omar Matthew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Tonete struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Florentino Oliviero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Concepción AFC. In the 96th play minute Severo Etxatxu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Florentino Oliviero. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
