In the 17th minute, Luis Urritz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Baldomiro Mattin, passed just outside the right post. 5 AM's Baldomiro Mattin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Urritz in the 21st minute of play. When Evaristo Iruinea fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 5 AM's protests and gave Evaristo Iruinea a yellow card for diving instead. Evaristo Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Eduardo Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Gonzales, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Evelio Tanio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
