Nereo Guilabertus kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 8thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Play Off Demon's keeper Maximino Umea was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's Vinicio Fortun got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nereo Guilabertus got free with Maximino Umea in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinicio Fortun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximino Umea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Vinicio Fortun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Umea having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Kinsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Play Off Demon the free kick. In the 19th minute, Ezequiel Kinsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Urtun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Play Off Demon's Luis Urtun got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vinicio Fortun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Fortun in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Nereo Guilabertus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maximino Umea, passed just outside the right post. Vinicio Fortun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Umea having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinicio Fortun to make the kick off. Luis Urtun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Francisco Chap made a huge save. Francisco Chap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Urbasa in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Alfonso Delfino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinicio Fortun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Maximino Umea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Virgilio Arce fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's protests and gave Virgilio Arce a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Gimnasia y Esgrima LP got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Arce. In the 71st minute, Nereo Guilabertus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gimnasia y Esgrima LP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Maximino Umea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Guilabertus, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Celedonio Urbasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Chap having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's Urbano Ignado got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 94th minute, Celedonio Urbasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francisco Chap. The goal made the score 1-1.
