The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Zeledon Emenon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. In the 20th minute Elpidio Cayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Quirze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaias Cucao during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Zeledon Emenon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Totoral's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Emenon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Matteo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Zeledon Pietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Zeledon Lawrence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Lawrence stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustacio Quirze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Cayo in the 52nd minute. Amado Herensuge hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Cipriano Matteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Abaurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Eustacio Quirze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Lawrence in the 74th minute of the match. Zeledon Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Eustacio Quirze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Cayo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Eustacio Quirze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for almirante brown. Eustacio Quirze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Lawrence in the 86th minute of play. Zeledon Emenon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. almirante brown's Cipriano Matteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Abaurre in the 90th minute of play. Cipriano Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Abaurre in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
