Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Isaias Franco scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Euloxu, making the score, 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Bruno Euloxu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Mazuste. Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Maximiliano Erramun scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Euloxu, making the score, 2-0. Clemente Mazuste blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Euloxu having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The audience was convinced that Andres Neto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Baristo was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
