If Martin Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Isias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Boni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Leonides Boni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toledo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Boni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Everardo Kaxen fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toledo FC's protests and gave Everardo Kaxen a yellow card for diving instead. Everardo Kaxen kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of A. A. Iron Maiden booed when Toledo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Locaio got free with Rafael Edorta in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute Martin Furman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Isias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toledo FC's Rafael Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Balendin in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, A. A. Iron Maiden's Ramiro Balendin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Edorta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Furman in the 39th minute of play forced A. A. Iron Maiden's goalkeeper Isidoro Isias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, A. A. Iron Maiden's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Boni came free, but Isidoro Isias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Furman took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoro Isias. Isidoro Isias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hugo Anaya's late challenge caught a A. A. Iron Maiden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Anaya helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Anaya hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Ramiro Balendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Balendin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Edorta was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Ramiro Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Toledo FC booed when A. A. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toledo FC's Leo Lain shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Isidoro Isias but with some difficulty. When Leonides Boni came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Toledo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Boni couldn't finish the play. Ramiro Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80th play minutes Martin Furman shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Isidoro Isias and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Toledo FC's zone, Ramiro Balendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Edorta came out of the goal and Ramiro Balendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Lain's late challenge caught a A. A.
