In the 43rd minute, Aurelio Jurdan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Ilazki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Clodoveo Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Machado to make the kick off. Amador Bartoleme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ezequiel Jesco hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Artemio Unai took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amador Bartoleme. Amador Bartoleme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Rodrigo Ilazki came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Tuizón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Ilazki couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arenal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tuizón had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
