But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Kinsen couldn't finish the play. Ignacio Claus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Sustrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Claus having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, Tarragona FC's Oscar Quexal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignacio Claus was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Quexal in the 27th minute of play forced Lunarejos FC's goalkeeper Ignacio Claus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Tarragona FC's Justino Ferman to fire away a dangerous shot which Ignacio Claus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Lunarejos FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jonas Cristofol hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Quexal in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignacio Claus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Tarragona FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Sustrai to strike the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Claus having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Mantzio in the 59th minute of play forced Tarragona FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Aurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Quexal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Claus having to interfere. In the 69th minute Silvio Mantzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Aurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Lunarejos FC's Ignacio Claus got control of the ball when Oscar Quexal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florentino Eneas's late challenge caught a Lunarejos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florentino Eneas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Tarragona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Eneas to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Aurre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Kinsen in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tarragona FC's zone, Marcelo Kinsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Aurre came out of the goal and Marcelo Kinsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Lunarejos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tarragona FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tarragona FC.
