The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnoldo Baumar hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Zacarias Chan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rexas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Chan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Aurre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Tarragona FC's Ciriaco Aurre got control of the ball when Aurelio Aguirre tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute Oscar Quexal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Oscar Quexal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rexas FC's Anacleto Herauso. Anacleto Herauso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justino Ferman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ciriaco Aurre made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Aurelio Aguirre sent off a good shot on target. 2-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Zacarias Chan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Aurelio Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rexas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Aguirre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Sustrai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Anacleto Herauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aurelio Aguirre came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rexas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Aguirre couldn't finish the play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelio Aguirre to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacarias Chan during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rexas FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Zacarias Chan hit a great ball. In the 53rd match minute, Tarragona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Quexal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Aguirre in the 57th minute of play forced Tarragona FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Aurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zacarias Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Aurelio Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Aurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Aurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Chan in the 79th minute of play. Zacarias Chan took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Aurre. Ciriaco Aurre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Tarragona FC's Ciriaco Aurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Dimo in the 85th minute of play. Aurelio Aguirre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Aurre having to interfere. Anacleto Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Sustrai in the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Sustrai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarragona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rexas FC the free kick. Osvaldo Sustrai hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
