Osvaldo Sustrai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tarragona FC booed when La Fragata fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Fiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Quexal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Constantino Eskuin having to make a save. After having played for 29 minutes, Osvaldo Sustrai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarragona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Sustrai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bartolo Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of La Fragata fc booed when Tarragona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Tabb didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Bartolo Emeterio sped through Tarragona FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciriaco Aurre. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The audience was convinced that Maximino Loren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Aurre was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, La Fragata fc's Bartolo Emeterio got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the match, La Fragata fc's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Sustrai came free, but Constantino Eskuin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
