In the 7th minute, Tomas Ellande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Generoso Llanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Subdai's zone, Serafino Beti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Oriol came out of the goal and Serafino Beti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnulfo Aimar's late challenge caught a Petronila FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Aimar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Subdai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Aimar to maneuver through the defense. Serafino Beti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Rodolfo Oriol made a huge save. The supporters of Petronila FC booed when Subdai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Subdai's Rodolfo Oriol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Llanos in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Generoso Llanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petronila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Llanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Oriol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 played minutes Diego Federigo rounded Subdai's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Ellande to strike the kick off in the second half. Serafino Beti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Rodolfo Oriol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Generoso Llanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Oriol having to interfere. Serafino Beti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Subdai's Ruperto Karmel, in the 80th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Subdai. Ruperto Karmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho Gaňa having to interfere. Serafino Beti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Generoso Llanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Oriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Beti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Petronila FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Subdai had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
