The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Alvaro Artaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Celeste y Oro getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Leon Nuñez hit a great ball. Quilo Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Millan, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. A collision led to Pulares FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Antonio Goizeder hit a great ball. When Anselmo Piarres came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Pulares FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Piarres couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Celeste y Oro's zone, Ivan Belarmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixto Otsando came out of the goal and Ivan Belarmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Ostadar during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Celeste y Oro getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Santos Ostadar hit a great ball. After 38 minutes, Juan Guter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pulares FC and the Celeste y Oro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Pulares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Guter to maneuver through the defense. Quilo Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Benet in the 39th minute of play. Fabricio Dayam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Sixto Otsando made a huge save. Antonio Goizeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Otsando having to interfere. Ivan Belarmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabricio Dayam was the one to do the kick off. Anselmo Piarres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sixto Otsando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Belarmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Otsando having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Belarmo in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Otsando saved Celeste y Oro from getting behind. Quilo Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Silbestre in the 63rd minute of play. If Ivan Belarmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Leon Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quilo Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Millan's late challenge caught a Pulares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laureano Millan helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Celeste y Oro got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Millan. In the 77th minute Anselmo Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Otsando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Ivan Belarmo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sixto Otsando was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Ivan Belarmo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Pulares FC fans jumped to their feet. The Celeste y Oro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixto Otsando should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Celeste y Oro's goalkeeper Sixto Otsando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Pulares FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
